I guess it’s arguable that Sophix rbbeod Flora of her individuality, though that only lasted for 2 episodes and I think they did give Flora a little focus during that time because she was already in tune with nature and whatnot beforehand. So that wasn’t that much of a big deal. Lovix is even less of a concern because Icy wasn’t even in season 4. There’s that and the fact that Lovix also didn’t last beyond an episode or two as well.

Eh I think the name could be better, but it could’ve been worse, too. I reeembmr Aquatix being coined for the mermaid transformations from the book, but that’s just cheesy.I’m not keen on the theme being mermaids for the new transformation, though. It’s a little too specific. Enchantix and Believix were transformations that allowed for individuality in the girls’ outfits and powers, but with a mermaid theme, it’s safe to assume a lot of adventuring and combat will be based around the water, which feels like a pretty limited environment. You know how midway into season 4 the girls just started a band out of nowhere (probably just to promote Winx in Concert, but I digress) and all the girls suddenly had natural talent for singing and playing instruments when that used to only be Musa’s thing? The band effectively killed Musa’s individuality. Now with season 5 being so heavily water-based, I have a feeling Aisha’s unique abilities will become nothing more than a side-note. Unless she gets a considerably large role this upcoming season (which might make sense, but I doubt it’s likely), then her affinity for water/liquid/waves will be sort of a moot point since I presume all the Winx will have varying degrees of that sort of power. So yeah I think this new transformation has the potential to backfire. It doesn’t sound like something to look forward to.
